Today's Aponex

Heather and Terri, our friends from Jacksonville, Florida, have been here all week and even though they cheat like hell during Putt-Putt (and Fantasy Football) games, we've enjoyed having 'em.

They used to live in the area and are back to attend the wedding of a close friend.

This past week has been a whirlwind of activity for them as they've attempted to hit all their old stomping grounds (read: bars), meet up with friends, shop for wedding attire and cheat at Putt-Putt (which I may or may not have already mentioned).

The non-stop activity has taken it's toll and Heather and Terri are crashing today.

April noted their slump and said she "completely got it," especially given the fact they've been "burning the oil all over the road these past few days."

Yes.

Burning the oil all over the road.

Heather let it pass.

You know I didn't.

"BURNING THE CANDLE AT BOTH ENDS," I said S-L-O-W-L-Y, making sure she caught my eye roll. "You can't combine it and 'burning the midnight oil!'"

"Yes I can," she said, kinda defiantly. "It makes sense. Don't tell me it doesn't."

"Okay, Apes. Okay."

I eye rolled again.

For good measure.
